Supporting scouting in Rye, NY and throughout the Greater Hudson Valley.

Our annual “Two Guys” Poker Tournament.

Rye’s beloved “two guys”, Bill Langham and Paul Knudsvig, have been hosting our annual poker fundraiser for over two decades! Proceeds support the infrastructure needs of the scout camps of our local Greater Hudson Valley Council of Scouting America. The tournament is traditionally held in late January or early February. We hope you’ll join us this year!

Projects Funded

Since its founding in 2004, the tournament has raised more than $100,000 to purchase needed infrastructure and equipment for the Curtis S. Read Scout Reservation and Agatha A. Durland Scout Reservation (both named after prominent Rye, NY residents/benefactors) of our Greater Hudson Valley Council, including:

  • A pavilion (coming in 2025!)

  • A kiln (coming in 2025!)

  • Staff cabins

  • Two accessible fishing docks

  • 1,500 trail markers

  • Kayaks

  • Snowshoes

  • Anvils, vises and a compressor

“The most worthwhile thing is to try to put happiness in the lives of others.”
